Fun With Clay with Northern Clay Center ( Grades: 3-4) (Open to Moreland Students Only)
**This class is free to Moreland Students only at this time--it is a make-up class that was paid for by Moreland Elementary in the spring. Youth Enrichment is assisting with registration/rosters, etc. This class is open to incoming 3rd and 4th graders. If you are not a Moreland family but interested in this class please check with us, if the spots don't fill with Moreland students, it will open up to all district students. Experience the wonders of the ceramic arts. This program will include two projects. During each session, a Northern Clay Center Artist will demonstrate a project, and students will then have the chance to make and decorate their own unique versions of the project, with the guidance of the artist. Projects are taken back to Northern Clay Center for firing, and will be ready approximately three weeks after their creation. The clear glaze used makes all functional pottery food safe. Your student will love the chance to learn about clay and make their visions into a 3D reality!Supplies and Pick-UpSupplies will need to be picked up at Moreland Elementary on Monday, July 20 between 9:00 and 1:00. On Friday, July 31, you will need to drop off the projects in a plastic shopping bag (to keep the projects from drying out) at Moreland between 9:00 and 1:00. They will be picked up by NCC to be fired and glazed. The finished projects will be available for pick up 3 weeks later. Once projects are available for pick up, you will be notified.
