Join the ultimate bracelet-making party! Kids will craft stunning friendship bracelets. With beads, charms and endless creativity, this class is perfect for little artists who love music, sparkle and making new friends. This class goes until 3:30pm.

This is our first Forest Play Club for older students! And, we are excited to begin with outdoor winter play in the Garlough School Forest! Join other Garlough students for play, build new friendships, learn to love the winter season, develop social awareness and make responsible decisions with others. Students will be encouraged to self-organize, be creative, problem solve and build friendships. Play is a time for deep, intense learning and is crucial for child development. Play Club will meet snow or shine and students are expected to come prepared for the winter season. Taught by iNature Specialist Ms. Benton & School Counselor Ms. Orman

Welcome to the Art zone. Brighten up winter with some fun and creative art projects. Experiment with koosh rings, masking tape and watercolors to create beautiful palm tree by the sea, sculpt a little lizard or iguana, celebrate Valentine’s Day with a colorful zentangle heart project, draw a bear with a silly sweater and more. Mechanical Engineering Snowball Launcher Ready, aim, launch! Students learn how catapults work, then engineer their own snowball launcher for maximum distance and accuracy. Optical Engineering Kaleidoscope See the world in dazzling patterns! Students discover how mirrors and shapes create symmetrical designs, then build their own kaleidoscope.

If you love singing, dancing, and all things Taylor Swift then this is the class for you! Come learn a fun dance routine to Taylor’s new hit “The Fate of Ophelia”. Kids will perform for family and friends the last 15 minutes on the last day of class, showing off their new moves. Taught by Director/Teaching Artist: Kate Herrera Kate got a degree in musical theatre from NDSU and has been teaching theatre classes in the twin cities for 2 years now. She also works as Burnsville High School's theatre director. She enjoys working with kids and sharing her love of singing, dancing and acting with them.
