  • ECFE Explorers

    During the two-day class, parenting discussion will focus on ways to encourage your preschool-aged child's learning, growth and development. We will also learn ways to strengthen social emotional skills while children have the opportunity to connect with their peers, play in the gym and work on social emotional learning and friendships together.

    ECFE is a program that offers parents and their children from birth to prekindergarten opportunities to grow and learn together in a supportive, stimulating environment. ECFE also supports families in learning to find time for one another, having fun together, being proud of who they are and knowing they are not alone!
  • ECFE - SSD 6 (South St. Paul)

    Children learn and develop more in the first five years than they do at any other time in their lives and most of this learning takes place in the home environment. For this reason, Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) includes young children and parents. Classes are designed for parents and children, birth to kindergarten enrollment.
  • ECFE - ISD 199 (Inver Grove Heights)

    We hope you enjoy our ECFE offerings. Registration for fall classes opens August 15. However, class enrollment will not be finalized until a lottery is run on Aug 29. Why a lottery? This helps to ensure everyone gets in at least one class. After 8/29, you can enroll in additional classes if you wish. If you have any trouble registering, please call 651-306-7503.   • ECFE Play & Learn - Free Class!

    Join our early learning staff for an afternoon of fun activities with your child. This class will provide a variety of play opportunities for children to create and engage in large motor play (gym time). The class will include enriching activities including art projects and opportunities to play with your child while you build your child’s problem-solving and social skills. This is a non-separating class.

    After Nap Drop In Play - $ 3.00 per family. No registration required Wednesday, February 8 - May 17 no class march 29 2:30-4 pm Held at the Family Education Center 104 5th Avenue South , SSP *Families from South St. Paul are welcomed on a first-come, first-served basis until room capacity is reached. *Parents are responsible for the care and supervision of their children. No strollers please. *IMPORTANT! Please fill out the ECFE Immunization record.
  • Daytime Drop-In Play-FRIDAYS

    Daytime Drop In Play Fridays - $3.00 per family per time NO registration required *Families from South St.Paul are welcomed on a first-come, first-served basis until room capacity is reached. *Parents are responsible for the care and supervision of their children. No strollers please. *Come anytime during the first hour; leave when you need to. Friday, Feb. 2 - May 17 ( No class on Mar. 8, 29 and Apr, 26) 9:00 am to 11:00 am *IMPORTANT!   • Baby & Me (B-12 months)

    Meet other parents and enjoy time with your new baby! Spend the entire class together, engaged in sensory and movement activities and a licensed educator-led discussion. Learn about eating and sleeping habits and what research tells us about your baby's important first experiences. Our baby classes are free and you can join at any during the year.
  • Pop In & Play! (Birth-5 years) - multiple sections

    Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles -- Stop by to have playtime together with your child or children, ages one to five years old. Lots of fun activities without the prep or the mess! All adults remain with their children during this time. Babies are welcome to attend with older siblings. Come and go as your schedule allows. No registration required. Pay online or at the Early Learning Office Each visit is $3 per child over age one. Babies 0-12 months are free. Save with a 10-visit punch card available in the early learning office for $25. (Pop In & Play cards are also good at any IGH Pop In & Play at the Park.) There is no pop in and play on days that there is no preschool or ecfe.     Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles -- Enjoy outside playtime together with other families and their children, ages one to six years old. Adults remain with their children during this time. Babies are welcome to attend with older siblings. Lots of fun activities, including story time. Come and go as your schedule allows. No registration required. Dress appropriately because rain, shine, cold, or hot-- this class will always meet Lions Park, 2423 65th Street East, IGH regardless of the weather! (Unless the weather service has issued warnings, in which case class will be cancelled.) Pay online or at the Early Learning Office Each visit is $3 per child over age one. Babies 0-12 months are free. Save with a 10-visit punch card available in the early learning office for $25. Your Pop In & Play Punch card is good for all IGH Pop In and Plays - indoor and outdoor.
