Ski Club

**We are looking to offer Ski Club at Afton Alps on Tuesday January 20th, non-school day from 3:45pm-9:30pm. Bus will leave TRHS promptly at 4pm, drop-off at 3:45pm and pickup at 9:30pm in the Aquatic Center parking lot.

We hope to have registration open on Friday December 19th.

Wizards of Chess, Chess Club! Join us in learning this National Award Winning Program! Learning the game of chess promotes imagination, creativity, develops memory, teaches independence, inspires self-motivation, and develops a logical way of thinking. Students of all levels are welcome. Yes, even if your student does not know how to play, we will teach them! Each session is filled with different material, and all learning is done with encouragement and fun on an individual personal level! All in-class equipment is provided. Advanced Fire Skill Series (Grades 5-8)
Middle School Enrichment

Love to sit around a bonfire with friends? Come on out to Dodge this May to learn all the skills you need to be a bonfire master this summer! Practice building and maintaining fires using a variety of methods, from matches to magnifying lenses. Learn to be a responsible fire steward to prevent wildfires and maintain safety. Celebrate the end of the school year with a perfectly toasted marshmallow, roasted over your very own fire! Kids will be able to take the activity bus from Friendly Hills or Heritage to Dodge Nature Center, kids will be dropped off at the Marie Entrance and met by Dodge staff. You can also drop your student off at Dodge if you prefer at the Marie Entrance. **Kids will have to be picked up at Dodge Nature Center Marie Entrance, by 5pm by a parent or guardian--the activity bus is not provided to get home. If a student is picked up later than 5pm a charge will be applied by Dodge Nature Center for a late pick-up.

Friendly Hills: Introduction to Bonsai Trees (Grades: 5-8)
Friendly Hills Enrichment

Start your bonsai journey today! In the Introduction to Bonsai course, you will learn about basic bonsai techniques from how to keep your tree alive to how you'll prune and maintain the art form of your tree through the years. You will learn a little about the history of bonsai, the pots and bonsai soil used, how to water your tree and how much sun it should get. You will also learn about how to wire your tree and the various bonsai styles and resources should you want to pursue this hobby further. All supplies provided. Friendly Hills: Homework Help (Grades: 5-8)
Friendly Hills Enrichment

We invite students in grades five through eight to participate in our newly launched homework help program. This initiative offers a positive atmosphere for students to receive assistance with their assignments. In addition to completing homework, the program focuses on activities that foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the reinforcement of positive study habits. Each day, students will receive an after-school snack, which is included in the program fee. Transportation is also provided via bus home if needed. When registering you will be asked to select your students after class plans. The homework help bus stop locations may be different than the bus stop locations for to and from school routes. Bus stops are within walking distance from students' homes but may not be within a block or two. You can also pick-up your student by 4:30pm at the school. Our goal is to create a nurturing environment where students can seek guidance, clarify concepts, complete assignments, and ultimately build stronger study habits and academic confidence.
