About ECFE - SSD 6 (South St. Paul)

Children learn and develop more in the first five years than they do at any other time in their lives and most of this learning takes place in the home environment. For this reason, Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) includes young children and parents. Classes are designed for parents and children, birth to kindergarten enrollment.

Young Toddlers (Ages 18-30 months)
ECFE - SSD 6 (South St. Paul)

Separating Class (Ages 18 months-30 months) Young toddlers are full of energy and curiosity! Join us in activities designed for self-discovery, developing confidence in talking, self-help skills and a variety of sensory experiences. In the first few weeks, parents and children will remain together in the classroom and will gradually separate for longer periods of time as children become more comfortable. Parent topics include developmental milestones and needs of the group. Wednesdays, Sept. 11- Jan. 30 (No classes Oct. 16, Nov. 27, Dec. 25, Jan. 1) 9:00-11:00 am Sibling Care available ( see sliding scale fee) All families are welcome. Tiny Tots-Non-Separating Class (Ages 12-24 Months)

Tiny Tots Ages 12-24 months (Non-separating class) Sibling care is available (see sliding scale fee) Your one-year-old is busy, curious and ready to play! Enjoy playing with your little one in a safe environment designed for exploring and lots of movement! Important social and emotional skills are developing during this time. Learn the hows and whys of this stage. Mondays, Sept 9. - Jan 27. Sensory Fun ! Ages 2.5 yrs to Kindergarten enrollment. Join our early learning staff for fun senory activities with your child. Tuesdays, Sept.10 - Oct. 29 Thursdays, Sept. 12 - Nov. 7 (No classes Oct. 17, 31 ) Registration is required. 5:30 - 7:00 pm at the Family Education Center 104 5th Avenue, SSP Door 1 651-457-9418 All families are welcome. Terrific Twos and Threes - Thursdays Ages 2-3 years Separating class Children learn through hands-on and movement activities especially in this curious, busy and on-the-go age. Baby Classes are FREE - Non separating Ages Birth to 12 months. Join us into the the world of early learning for parents and children birth to five. Study has shown Early Childhood helps young children develop foundational academic and social-emotional skills. Provides the foundation for all furture learning behavior and health. Enhance readiness for school. The first year is filled with lots of questions, incredible discoveries and first experiences. Share joys, concerns and gain parenting tips in your new role.
