Calm Connections

Separating class for ages 2 1/2-Kindergarten, with a goal to teach Conscious Discipline techniques to help parents feel more confident in handling challenging behavior.

  • Increase parent awareness of how their own emotions / brain state affect how they respond
  • Improve emotional regulation in children — teaching them self‑calming, being able to express feelings, resolve conflict
  • Strengthen parent‑child relationship (more connection, less power struggle)
  • Reduce use of punishment / coercion; increase more positive discipline tools
  • Create a supportive community of parents for shared learning and support
