Get ready to build, create, and explore in LEGO Builders Lab! This hands-on class is perfect for young engineers in grades 1–2 who love to use their imagination. Each week, students will take on fun building challenges—from constructing bridges and towers to designing their own LEGO creations. Wizards of Chess, Chess Club! Join us in learning this National Award Winning Program! Learning the game of chess promotes imagination, creativity, develops memory, teaches independence, inspires self-motivation, and develops a logical way of thinking. Students of all levels are welcome. Yes, even if your student does not know how to play, we will teach them! Each session is filled with different material, and all learning is done with encouragement and fun on an individual personal level! All in-class equipment is provided. Pilot Knob: Engineering for Kids Junior STEM Club Session 1 (Grades: K-4)

Calling all future engineers! It’s time to develop your critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration skills through engineering disciplines. Jump into an exciting new school year with all-new lessons! Whether you're a new or returning student, the Engineering For Kids Jr. Engineering/STEM Club offers hands-on, engaging activities each week to spark curiosity and creativity. Students will explore engineering concepts while developing essential 21st-century skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork—building confidence to tackle challenges in and out of the classroom. Fall Session 1 Lessons: Order may vary: Jr Environmental Engineering Fall Homes Students will learn about some different ways animals prepare for winter and will use the Engineering Design Process to design a den that keeps an animal safe in the winter. Jr Construction Engineering Corn Maze Students will use the Engineering Design Process to design and build a corn maze with a start, a finish, and a path that connects them Jr Acoustic Engineering Kazoo Students will experiment with sound and make their own kazoo Jr Structural Engineering Fall Harvest Students will learn how scarecrows are used to protect food that is growing and will use the Engineering Design Process to design a scarecrow that can stand up to fall weather

Pilot Knob: Beginning Ukulele with Mr. Oppenheim (Grades: 2-4)
Pilot Knob Enrichment

Students will learn basic chords and strumming patterns to play songs on the ukulele. No need to own a ukulele; instruments will be provided for the lessons. Students will enjoy learning to play simple beginner songs. *Please note this class goes until 3:30pm. Taught by Pilot Knob 2nd Grade Teacher, Mr. Oppenheim
