Art Experiments with Abrakadoodle (Grades: K-4)
8: Camps Starting the Week of Aug 4

In this camp we will have fun using art materials and science to create some cool special effects. We’ll investigate the world of art and science. We’ll experiment with tinfoil, shaving cream, glow in the dark paint, chalk, glue, salt and watercolor to make interesting and colorful creations. We’ll make cupcakes on canvas with puffy shaving cream frosting, make art that glows, try our hand at foil embossing and more in this in this camp of art experiments. Bring a beverage and a nut free snack.

Drama Lab (Grades: 1-5)

Drama Lab is a creative haven where budding performers unleash their imagination and hone their acting skills. Led by experienced instructors, students explore the exciting world of theatre through engaging activities, improvisation games, character development, and scene work. The last day of class, families are invited to watch a short performance! If you have taken this before, come on back because our classes are never the same!

Natural Wonders through Art with Ms. Dunham (Grades: 2-4)

Be inspired by Minnesota's beautiful outdoors using plants, flowers, trees and animals as you create your own art. Students will create nature journals, and use clay, printmaking and watercolor paint to celebrate the wondrous outside world. Taught by Mendota Art Teacher Ms. Dunham

Wizards of Chess Summer Camp/Campamento de verano de Wizards of Chess (Grades: 1-6)
8: Camps Starting the Week of Aug 4

Join in on the fun for an all day chess camp! Everyone is welcome to come get a greater understanding in this Royal Game! Whether you are new to chess or an experienced player there will be material covered for all! We will go over opening theory, 2 openings, tactics, endgames and fun variations of chess. Other activities include a rocket building, outdoor breaks with organized games, team building exercises and a chance to make new friends and see old ones! Each activity is inclusive with a positive fun environment no matter your skill level! Please remember to pack some sunscreen, sack lunch, rocket garage (shoe box) and a water bottle! Don’t forget the smiling face! Rocket launch will be at 2:30pm Thursday for family members that would like to attend, guaranteed to be a blast!
