Featured Courses

  • Songwriting and Music Production I Camp: Recording (Grades: 8-12)

This summer camp intensive is for students who have experience writing a song, playing an instrument, or using GarageBand or Logic and builds on the TRHS music production course. The five-day camp will refine existing songwriting, recording and production skills using Logic, Apple’s music production software. The camp will focus on intermediate techniques in recording and mixing music such as micing drums, vocals, amps and acoustic instruments. It will also cover programming drum machines, as well as using and editing MIDI instruments. Finally, students will learn the basics of post-production mixing, including compression, EQ, side-chaining and routing. Students will not only conclude the course with an original song to share but will be able to make beats, use MIDI instruments, and record, mix and arrange using Logic for future compositions. This class may require the use of a personal iPhone, iPad, or Mac laptop computer. Purchasing a student license of Logic for an Apple device is highly recommended though not required. It’s also recommended that students have a basic understanding of music and rhythm and experience writing music and using music production software, but it is not required.
  • Jr World Travelers STEM Camp (Grades: K-4)

Get ready for an extraordinary adventure where young minds take charge in exploring the skies, roads, and seas! Each day, campers will receive their passport and 'travel' to a new country using a different mode of transportation they’ve engineered themselves. Whether it’s designing planes, trains, boats, or cars, students will tackle daily hands-on challenges to reach their destination. By the end of the week, they’ll have a passport full of memories, a collection of creative transportation projects, and a rich experience of cultures from around the world!
