In this class, students will learn the positions, simple rules and strategies of soccer. Participants will be playing soccer games while applying their knowledge of positions, rules and strategies. Taught by Pilot Knob Teacher Mr. Herzan

Every Oula class empowers participants to challenge their bodies and process their emotions through music, movement, and, most importantly, a community connection. Please wear clothes that are easy to move in, closed toed shoes, and bring a water bottle. Behind everything we do online is code: a system of functions, commands, and rules written to make our digital technologies function smoothly. In this course, students will engage in the fundamentals of code. We will become digital creators, learning new problem solving skills, practicing persistence, and using our creative thinking! Students must bring their school iPads to class each week. Calling all future engineers! It’s time to develop your critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration skills through engineering disciplines. The Engineering For Kids Jr Engineering/STEM Club brings fun, hands-on lessons every week to introduce engineering concepts at a young age. For each lesson, students focus on developing 21st Century skills such as problem solving, critical thinking and teamwork. These life skills give students the confidence to approach challenges in their lives and realize that they can succeed in almost anything! Fall Session 1 Lessons: Order may vary: Mechanical Engineering Buzzers Students will learn about some properties of vibration, and make a Buzzer that they can manipulate to change the pitch of the vibrating noise. Civil Engineering Three Little Pigs Challenge Using the materials provided, can you create a house for your pig that can withstand the effects of different wind speeds? Aerospace Engineering Stomp Rockets Students will understand the design of a rocket, and build their own. Acoustic Engineering Flute Students explore sound and make music with their own pan flute.
