Heads up! Classes fill up faster than a kid in a candy store. If we don’t hit the magic number for enrollment, classes may get cancelled 3-5 days before they kick off. Help us keep the disappointment fairy away by signing up early!

Oh, and a little reminder: transportation isn’t included for any of the community education classes. 

For non-school day, evening, or weekend classes, make sure you drop off and pick up your superstar at the specified spots. Don’t forget to pop inside the building for those handoffs!

One-Day Class! Babysitter's Training/¡Clase de un día! Entrenamiento de niñera (Grades: 4-8)
Evening/Weekend/Non-School Day Classes

Discover the essential universal skills and techniques every babysitter should have. This one-day certification course teaches participants to take care of themselves and others by exploring basic care of infants and children, basic first aid, emergency protocols, home safety, child behavior, developmental milestones, age-appropriate activities, professionalism, leadership and more. We encourage both young men and women to attend this skill building course. Participants will receive a digital copy their Babysitter’s Training Certification and Babysitter’s Handbook via email the day before from Allison Curtis, please make sure your email is up-to-date. Please bring a nut free bag lunch and drink. Register Soon! Space is limited. An Emergency Medical Technician and former member of Red Cross’s Emergency First Responder Team, Instructor Allison Curtis is a passionate instructor of American Red Cross CPR and Babysitting with over 10 years of teaching experience. ¡Clase de un día! Entrenamiento de niñera/o (Grados: 4-8)! Este curso está diseñado para brindar a los jóvenes que planean cuidar niños el conocimiento y las habilidades necesarias para cuidar de manera segura y responsable a niños y bebés. Este curso de certificación de un día enseña a los participantes a cuidarse a sí mismos y a los demás al explorar el cuidado básico de bebés y niños, primeros auxilios básicos, protocolos de emergencia, seguridad en el hogar, comportamiento infantil, hitos del desarrollo, actividades apropiadas para la edad, profesionalismo, liderazgo y más. . Somerset: Wiffleball with Mr. Kohnen (Grades: 3-4)
Winter/Spring Classes

Come join us for wiffleball with Third Grade Somerset Teacher Mr. Kohnen. This is for all ability levels. The only requirement is an interest in wiffleball. Students will get to run, throw, field, and hit. We will do some skill practice, and mostly focus on having fun while playing wiffleball games.

Somerset: Coding Camp with Ms. Korpela (Grades: 2-4)
Winter/Spring Classes

This class will be a blend of hands-on coding games and coding apps. We will explore games like Turing Tumble, and Marble Racers and apps like Kodable and Scratch. We even have our own Sphero Indi car to code! If you like puzzles and solving problems through code, this class is for you! Taught by Somerset Science Teacher Ms. Korpela

April Fusion Lab

Get ready for lots of fun, strategy, and friendly competition in Game Masters! During these exciting classes, students will learn the rules and strategies behind all kinds of classic and creative card games, from Go Fish and Crazy Eights to Rummy and Uno. Through these games, students will discover new ways to sharpen their critical thinking, build teamwork, and practice good sportsmanship—all while having tons of fun!
