School District 197 Youth Enrichment Community Education is pleased to partner with Advantage Educational Programs. For the past 26 years, Advantage Educational Programs benefited thousands of students in Minnesota by preparing them for the college entrance exams. They offer ACT Preparatory Courses in more than forty high schools in Minneapolis/St. Paul and the surrounding area. Online ACT Preparatory Course This course is an excellent alternative for any student unable to attend in-school classes or for a student preferring to prepare for the ACT exam on their own, and study at their desired pace. The fee for this course is $80, and you may repeat the course at no charge until you graduate from high school. The online course will allow students to log-in for the course and proceed at their own pace. The course will be using Google Classroom to present the online course and it will be equivalent to the 12 hour classroom time. The course will use instructors' videos, voice-overs, illustrations, and slides that guide you through all of the testing areas of the ACT. You will also be able to communicate with the instructor when you have questions or concerns. Students can make up any class they miss at other available class locations and may also REPEAT any of the ACT prep courses by requesting the Self-Paced ACT Prep Course at no additional charge. Students can attend any missed classes at TRHS when the course if offered again and may repeat the course at no charge. **If you are on free/reduced lunch please contact us for a scholarship. **You will need a gmail account to access the google classroom. Your student's isd197.org account that is managed by google will not work--ISD197 blocks access to google classrooms outside the 197 domain. Once students are enrolled, they are sent an access code for their class via email, as well as directions on how to begin the simple process of starting their class. Students have the flexibility of working on classwork at their own pace around their own specific schedule. In-School ACT Preparatory Course This course consists of four, three-hour classes that meet one day each week at Two Rivers High School. **You do not need to be a Two Rivers HS student to attend, this course is open to any high school student. The course includes diagnostic testing, instruction in time management, overcoming test anxiety, science reasoning, English strategies and review, essay writing, reading comprehension, and math strategies and review. Students enrolled in these classes not only benefit from personal instruction taught by our experienced instructors, but also have free access to our online course. Please have a pencil/pen and notebook with you for class. Coed Ultimate Frisbee **This class is open to Friendly Hills and Heritage Students--FHMS students can take the activity bus over to Heritage after-school to participate. DASH Sports Ultimate Frisbee camps provide participants with a well rounded experience in a fun environment. Ultimate frisbee a fun, athletically challenging team sport played with a thrown frisbee. Participants will practice throwing, catching, and general strategy and team-play. This is a fun camp that encourages teamwork. Camp ends with a scrimmage/game on the final day. Please bring water and wear athletic clothing. DASH Sports flag football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage the final day. Athletes should bring a water bottle (cleats and mouthguards are optional). Footballs and flag belts are provided. Taught by DASH Sports Instructors

Dive into your favorite STEAM lessons that don't come around often enough! This class will develop your student's science and engineering skills along with giving a place for their creativity and imagination to shine. We will build with dominoes, explore with magnets, code robots, mix potions, and other activities pulled from the most interesting things we do in STEAM class. Taught by Ms. Beattie Moreland STEAM Teacher

Soccer: DASH Sports soccer camps provide players a well-rounded soccer experience covering a broad range of soccer skills training (dribbling, passing, shooting, & defense) and skill-based games. Players will be challenged and grouped at an appropriate level while receiving instruction in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage on the final day. Athletes should bring a water bottle (spikes and shin guards are optional). Balls are provided.

Learn how to properly speak your lines, block a scene, develop your character and much more! All that is needed are comfortable clothing and shoes. Fun With Fondant Come have fun experiencing the beauty of fondant decorations. Each student will take home an 8" cake that they will frost with buttercream and decorate using fondant flowers and cut outs. All supplies included. Instructor: Diana Hirte
