  • Dakota County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Presentation

    The Dakota County Sheriff's Office has operated an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) commonly called a Drone Unit since 2015 to support the Sheriff's Office and other law enforcement agencies by providing a safe and efficient ariel observation perspective on law enforcement and other public safety incidents. This Drone Unit has been called upon to assist in the search of missing persons from 4 to 80 years old; have assisted in serious crash and crime scenes documenting evidence; assisted keeping officers, fire fighters and the public safe at large fire scenes, active public safety incidents, and locating fleeing subjects from crime scenes. The DCSO Drone team will present some example use cases, answer questions and provide a short demonstration of their capabilities. Presenter: Sean Qualy and/or Dakota Co Sheriff’s Office staff

    Energetic Cording

    Energetic Cording Energetic cording is something everybody does, sometimes intentional and sometimes not. It is the feeling of being connected to someone or drained by them. In this class you will learn what exactly energetic cording is, which ones are healthy and which ones cause imbalance and need to be released. You will also learn how to disconnect or decord energy, and heal as to not have it happen again. An exercise will be provided at the end of class to experience decording. Instructor: Lily McNamara

    Outdoor play is essential to a child's development, and exploring nature opens up a world of wonder! Families will meet at different parks for most classes. Have fun exploring as you build connections with your child, other families, and nature. Non-separating class. Activities are geared for children aged 2-5, but younger siblings are welcome to come. Regardless of age, there is a maximum of 2 children per adult. (Register all children who will be participating.) In the event of severe weather, some sessions may be held at the Early Learning Center where we will 'bring the outdoors in'. Spring session begins April 3.

    Flag Football DASH Sports Summer Flag Football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced daily, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with scrimmages/games the final day where players can showcase their skills. Athletes should bring a wear sunscreen, and bring a water bottle and a snack (spikes/cleats, and mouthguards are optional). Flag belts, and football are provided. Flag Football Tykes DASH Sports flag football Tykes camps provide players with an introductory experience to the great game of football in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced. Fun, skill-based games will be played to practice newly learned skills. Athletes should bring a water bottle and wear athletic clothing & shoes (spikes/cleats are optional). Footballs and flag belts are provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group.
