    Virtual ACT Prep Class This course is an excellent alternative for any student unable to attend an in-person class, but still prefers the interaction with one of the Advantage Educational Programs' instructors.     School District 197 Youth Enrichment Community Education is pleased to partner with Advantage Educational Programs. For the past 26 years, Advantage Educational Programs benefited thousands of students in Minnesota by preparing them for the college entrance exams. They offer ACT Preparatory Courses in more than forty high schools in Minneapolis/St. Paul and the surrounding area. Online ACT Preparatory Course This course is an excellent alternative for any student unable to attend in-school classes or for a student preferring to prepare for the ACT exam on their own, and study at their desired pace. The fee for this course is $80, and you may repeat the course at no charge until you graduate from high school. The online course will allow students to log-in for the course and proceed at their own pace. The course will be using Google Classroom to present the online course and it will be equivalent to the 12 hour classroom time. The course will use instructors' videos, voice-overs, illustrations, and slides that guide you through all of the testing areas of the ACT. You will also be able to communicate with the instructor when you have questions or concerns. Students can make up any class they miss at other available class locations and may also REPEAT any of the ACT prep courses by requesting the Self-Paced ACT Prep Course at no additional charge.   • Somerset: Co-ed Basketball with DASH Sports (1-4)

    DASH Sports basketball camps provide players a well-rounded basketball experience covering a broad range of skills training and skill-based games. Players will be taught how to properly shoot, pass, dribble, and play defense in a fun and positive environment. Camps ends with scrimmages/games on the final day.   • Friendly Hills: Homework Help (Grades: 5-8)

    We invite students in grades five through eight to participate in our newly launched homework help program. This initiative offers a positive atmosphere for students to receive assistance with their assignments. In addition to completing homework, the program focuses on activities that foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the reinforcement of positive study habits. Each day, students will receive an after-school snack, which is included in the program fee. Transportation is also provided via bus home if needed. When registering you will be asked to select your students after class plans. The homework help bus stop locations may be different than the bus stop locations for to and from school routes. Bus stops are within walking distance from students' homes but may not be within a block or two. You can also pick-up your student by 4:30pm at the school. Our goal is to create a nurturing environment where students can seek guidance, clarify concepts, complete assignments, and ultimately build stronger study habits and academic confidence.     Join us at Two Rivers High School for folkstyle wrestling for all levels! This is a co-ed class, girls and boys welcome. Ages 4 (must be potty trained) - 12 years old Beginners or experienced wrestlers are welcome. All wrestlers will receive a t-shirt.     Come and learn the basics of crocheting. We will start with learning how to make a loop, move on to a chain and from then on, we will learn how to do a single crochet. This is what we need to know in order to make a scarf, pencil pouch or a small purse. All supplies provided! Class is limited to 10 students, register soon!     School District 197 Youth Enrichment is now partnering with Safeway Driving School to offer our Driver's Education classes. This is a virtual class offered via Zoom from 4pm-7pm. Please make sure your email is correct and is the email you want the link sent to for the class. Links will be sent out prior to class starting. Safeway has been graduating safe teen drivers in the Twin Cities for over 50 years. Safeway’s only focus is creating safe, responsible teen drivers. Classroom and behind-the-wheel lessons emphasize defensive driving techniques tailored for the inexperienced teen driver while targeting to influence the invincible teen attitude. All of Safeway’s instructors are licensed by the Minnesota Dept. of Public Safety. Parent involvement is required to produce safe, responsible teen drivers. It is critical that parents practice regularly with their student drivers. The state requires that students have a minimum of 50 hours of practice (15 hours at night). The practice time must be recorded on a state-approved Supervised Driving Log and presented at the road test. Parent Classes are offered monthly in person or by distance learning (via Zoom). This class is not required but qualifies the parent to receive a certificate that allows their student reduced practice time (from 50 to 40 hours). Parents can sign up for a Parent Class on Safeway’s website. At a minimum, Safeway strongly encourages parents to review its parent information and watch the online Parent Class Videos at www.safewaydrivingschool.com.     Learn to swim in a class customized just for you! This is a private 30-minute session with your child to work on water safety, stroke enhancement or specific skills that need work.   • Two Rivers Cheerleading Camp and Performance (Grades: K-5)

    The Two Rivers High School Cheerleaders are excited to host a one-day Cheer Camp on Saturday, December 13th for students in grades K–5! Participants will learn fun cheers and chants alongside our talented cheer squad, and they’ll get the amazing opportunity to perform on the sidelines during the Rosemont vs. Two Rivers Basketball Game, including a special halftime performance. The camp will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Two Rivers High School, and each cheerleader will receive a camp T-shirt to remember the day. This is a fun, confidence-building experience your student won’t want to miss come cheer loud and proud with the Two Rivers Cheer Team! Students grades 2-6 are invited to learn basic flag twirling and dance skills with our TRHS Winterguard team and apply those skills to a short routine!
