ROCC--Residents of Color Collective is offering their program ROCC Climbers for BIPOC youth after-school at Friendly Hills. **There is no charge to register but please sign up so ROCC is able to plan for activities. Developing our youth to climb the world! BIPOC students can join us after-school as we CREATE, LEAD, INSPIRE, MOTIVATE & BUILD! This is a youth development and leadership opportunity for BIPOC youth at Friendly Hills. We will create an energetic safe space that promotes self-love and awareness, love of culture and a love of nature. This spring we will focus on becoming Healthy Climbers! We will learn about: Self-Love: Safe Choices Leadership and Life Skills Engaging in Healthy Communication Creating Healthy Relationships Kids can take the activity bus home at 5:15pm or be picked up at 5pm at the school. Parlez-vous francais? Part Deux! (Grades: 5-7)
Friendly Hills Enrichment

Join us as we review basic French greetings and learn simple conversations. We will write a letter to our French pen pals, who live near the southern city of Toulon, France. We will continue our exploration of France, as we watch part of a french film, listen to la musique pop de la France, and learn how to make French beignets/doughnuts. Class 1: Introductions, Learn/review greetings & map of Paris; play Paris monuments game Class 2: Review, learn vocabulary: #s,colors; Learn and write- questions for classmates & penpals ;Write pen pal letters. If time play game in French outside(weather permitting). Class 3: Review, learn vocabulary #s, & commands for playing Battleship in French Class 4: Review, learn vocabulary for the Questions game in French and play game Class 5: Review; Make French beignets/doughnuts *All levels are welcome. GRASP Summer Correspondence (Grades: K-8)
GRASP (Summer Correspondence)

**Orders are sent in to GRASP on Monday May 1st. No late registrations will be taken. **Please make sure your address/email/phone number in your Tridistrict account are all up to date in order to receive correspondence from GRASP. GRASP is a nine-week correspondence program which helps students maintain reading and math skills while they are on summer vacation. It should take you and your child approximately one hour per week for nine weeks to complete each weekly lesson. We suggest parents order the grade level just completed. If there are extenuating circumstances, order the level that is appropriate for your child. Prices include curriculum packet, completion awards and scoring service. GRASP has 9 lessons to be submitted during the summer—one per week. Each lesson reinforces the basic skills typically found in most curricula at that particular grade level. GRASP staff score the lesson and return it to the student with comments. Please select the correct GRASP Section: You can order 1 subject for your student for $38.00, either math or reading. Upon registering you will fill out a questionnaire on your students school, grade and select either the math or reading booklet. If you select the section for both subjects the cost is $58.00, you will fill out a questionnaire for the grade level preferred for each subject. You can choose different grade levels for reading and math. Books will be delivered to your child's school and handed out by their homeroom teacher in late May/early June.

Archery with Dodge Nature Center (Grades: 5-8)
Middle School Enrichment

Archery with Dodge Nature Center **Only students participating in the ROCC Youth Leadership program after-school this school year can sign up for the ROCC section and rate. First time archers? Learn all the basics about bows and arrow in a safe and friendly environment. Experienced instructors will teach you everything you need to know to safely use bows and arrows. This class is a great entry into the sport of archery. Kids will be able to take the activity bus from Friendly Hills or Heritage to Dodge Nature Center You can also drop your student off at Dodge if you prefer at the Marie Entrance. **Kids will have to be picked up at Dodge Nature Center Marie Entrance, by 5pm by a parent or guardian--the activity bus is not provided to get home. If a student is picked up later than 5pm a charge will be applied by Dodge Nature Center for a late pick-up. Grades 5-8 welcome. Class is limited to 10 students, register early!! **Los niños podrán tomar el autobús de actividades desde Friendly Hills o Heritage hasta el centro natural Dodge, los dejarán en la entrada de Marie y serán recibidos por el personal del Dodge.
